What You Are Looking At

Big River Roofing has been serving Mercer County for about five years. The projects in this gallery cover the same range of work we handle every day:

• Roof replacements: Full tear-offs and new installs, mostly architectural shingles and metal roofs. These are the projects that change the look of a home the most, and they are the ones homeowners want to see before they pick a color or profile.
• Roof repairs: Smaller jobs like missing shingle replacement, flashing work, and leak detection fixes. A good repair should look like nothing happened, and that is what we aim for.
• Storm damage work: Wind, hail, and heavy snow load are the three things that keep us busy after a rough week of weather. You can read more about how we handle those jobs on our storm damage roofing page.
• Siding and gutter projects: Not every project is just a roof. We also handle siding replacements and seamless gutter installs, and those jobs are worth seeing too. A good exterior is all three working together.

How We Document Our Work

On every project, we take before-and-after photos. It is not a marketing thing, it started as a practical one. Showing the homeowner what we found up there is part of how we stay honest. If we pull back a damaged section and find rotted decking, you see a photo of it. If your valley was improperly flashed by whoever installed the last roof, you see that too. The gallery is the end of that process.

A few things you will notice in the photos:

• Clean lines at the ridges and valleys: Poor valley work is one of the most common reasons a roof leaks. Pay attention to how those lines look. Straight, tight, and consistent is what you want to see.
• Even shingle courses: Rows should run level across the whole roof. If they wander, the installer was rushing.
• Proper drip edge and flashing: The metal work at the edges of the roof is not just cosmetic. It is what keeps water out of your soffit and fascia. In our photos, you should see clean, tight flashing at every transition.
• Tidy job sites: We take an after photo of the yard too. Nails and debris leave with the crew at the end of the day. You should not be finding roofing nails in your grass a month later.
